Happppy Holidays!

Its been a great week! I love Christmas time! We had a quiet Christmas here at our house, which was nice. We still were able to go visit Bryan and family in the afternoon, and then of course skyped everyone else later that day! Jon and family came to visit a couple days after that which was great also! I think Mckenzie might have been just as excited for them to come as she was for Christmas this year! Here are a few highlights of the last week or so...

We got to squeeze in one last trip to Sea World before our passes expired. It was really fun this time because A. I was not prego, B. I did not have a newborn, and C. It was not over a hundred degrees. It was a little chilly, but not too bad. Also, Kenzie got into the rides a little more this time which made it more exciting as well than just all the shows. I love Sea World. Love, Love Sea World.

Anybody want some of this attitude?

Brinley was a good to be a trooper despite the layers and layers she was wearing. Onsie, Long-sleeve, Fleece pullover, sweater. I think it might have gotten as cool as 50 degrees...do you think she's over dressed? :) Raising a couple Texas wimps here I think. :)

We were also able to go to the Hill Country Christmas Celebration! They turned some of their water slides into sled runs and had lots of carousels and the whole park decked for Christmas.
(yes, I know Brinley looks like she might be in a food coma. Poor girl.)

We also hit a cool little town called Fredericksberg, and did some hiking at Enchanted Rock just outside of town. Its kind of a random BIG rock that you can hike to the top of. About 2 minutes into the hike Kenzie complained that her legs were tired, so we stopped for a little break. At this point I thought it was going to be a LONG trek to the top, but luckily her competitive spirit kicked in--and she decided she did not want to be left behind by her 2 cousins. So, with minimal dragging we did make it to the top. We didn't get any good pictures at the top though because it was SUPER windy and Brinley shoes kept blowing away. Kenzie kept asking, "Why did we come all the way up here, Mom? I don't think we should have done this." I love how kids tell it like it is.

I love these two blue eyed people.

And of course we couldn't leave out a pic from the big New Years Bash. (by that I mean, at 8:45 we say, Ok kids time for our New Years party! We put on some hats, throw some streamers around, blow some horns, throw some Pops, do a few magic tricks. Then at 9:29 we say OK--its time for the countdown! 9:30pm-Happy New Years! Time for bed kids!)
